Our Mission Statement:
To alleviate governmental burden on K-12 school districts, Intermediate School districts, colleges and universities.
Founded in 1994, by the Van Buren Intermediate School District, the Van Buren Research and Development Foundation is a 501 C 3 non-profit educational foundation established to provide a variety of consulting and support services to Michigan K-12 School Districts, Intermediate School Districts, Colleges and Universities. The Foundation has also provided services to educational entities in states other than Michigan.
The Foundation has an eight member board comprised of superintendents, assistant superintendents and board members of K-12 and Intermediate School Districts located in Van Buren, Allegan and Kalamazoo Counties. The Foundation employs an Executive Director, Administrative Assistant, an Accountant and a Payroll Specialist. The Foundation employs the services of independent contractors from time to time to provide specific services.
The Foundation has provided a variety of services since its inception including, student portfolio development, contracted support and administrative personnel, grant and program evaluations, grant application, and consulting services. The Foundation currently provides a variety of services to approximately twenty-five K-12, Charter and Intermediate School Districts. The Foundation contracts approximately 350 support personnel, non-staff coaches and administrators to K-12 school districts, Charter Schools and ISDs.
