The Van Buren Research and Development Foundation is a full service educational service agency brokering services of the brightest and best educators in Michigan. A brief description of the services provided by the Foundation follows:

ALTERNATIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

School districts continually struggle with trying to create a successful and meaningful educational experience for every child. Educators have long recognized that children traditional classroom setting. Many alternative instructional methods and settings have been tried by schools, some dismal failures, others with more successful results. With increasing pressure being placed on school personnel to increase graduation rates and decrease dropout rates, schools may need assistance with planning, implementing and evaluating alternative educational programs.

NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND

The Van Buren Research and Development Foundation provides qualified consultants and a process for assisting school administrators in assessing the needs of a building in order to meet AYP. These services include forecasting AYP results, curriculum alignment to the Michigan Standards, professional development for teachers in terms of specific methodologies and strategies, professional development for building administrators in evaluating the implementation of established methodologies/strategies by each classroom teacher, and assessing whether the instructional practices of classroom teachers are going to lead to AYP.

BUDGET FORECASTING

The Van Buren Research and Development Foundation can provide skilled consultant services to client districts that need assistance in budget forecasting. The Foundation can provide not only budget forecasting services, but also assistance in planning for the program and personnel changes that will be necessary whether a budget is declining or increasing. The Foundation can also serve its clients as a resource for gathering critical information necessary for budget forecasting.

PROGRAM EVALUATION

The Foundation utilizes the services of prominent educational leaders and experienced consultants in providing research designed evaluations.

GRANT EVALUATION

Many state and federal grants require an evaluation be performed by an outside evaluator or consultant. The Foundation provides a service that meets or exceeds the requirements of the granting agency, while providing the grantee with research based assessment of the impact of the grant.

PERSONNEL SERVICES

The Foundation has an active list of professional educators willing to provide interim or short term service within the educational setting. Administrative, technical and other positions may be filled on a year long or shorter basis with highly qualified Foundation personnel. This service also provides Foundation clients with significant cost saving while receiving exceptional service.

TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT

Highly qualified technology support is available through the foundation on a contracted service arrangement. We provide the personnel to meet your technology support needs.

WEB MASTER

Our talented web design staff will custom design and maintain your web page.

COMMUNITY OR SCHOOL SURVEYS

School climate, parent satisfaction, and voter opinion are some of the types of survey services provided by the Foundation. Our cost for the service are significantly below that of other organizations.
